The National Library of Medicine (NLM) provides free web access to over 21 million citations for biomedical and clinical medical articles from the 1800's to the present through PubMed (available online at PubMed.gov). PubMed includes links to additional databases, to sites providing full text articles and to other related resources. This hands-on workshop covers basic searching techniques, changes to PubMed and how to develop effective search strategies for the PubMed interface to MEDLINE. Topics covered include: automatic term mapping, the Advance Search feature, search results options, the Related Articles link, My NCBI Saved Searches and Collections, and the Single Citation Matcher.
